Columns are vertically continuous and do not stop for floor planks.  One level of column sits directly on the one below.  Mr. Kelly verified that in our meeting yesterday.  He was impressed by Jacob's sketches of assemblies and is eager to come visit us a few times as we advance these building designs.

We will make models of these projects by 3-D printing individual components and assembling them, as the building is built.

We need to make a trip later this semester to tour Gage Brothers' facility on a Saturday in Sioux Falls.

I am very excited about this class.

Have a digital model of the basic frame of your structure (columns, beams, and planks) made by the beginning of the next class.  We'll work on detailing this system and starting to think about how to envelope this structure in the next class.  I've asked Mr. Kelley to join us, if he can fit us into his schedule in two weeks from now on February 28th.
